4-star QB recruit Dakereon Joyner lists South Carolina, Georgia among top five schools

Dakereon Joyner is from North Charleston, S.C., but he hasn’t yet decided whether he will stay in South Carolina to continue his football career.
However, Joyner listed his top five schools on Twitter on Friday evening, and the Gamecocks were among those listed. The 4-star quarterback recruit also included Georgia, Louisville, N.C. State, and Virginia Tech, narrowing down a list of 26 schools to five.
Joyner, who played at Fort Dorchester High School, is the No. 6 recruit in the South Carolina, according to 247sports, and also the No. 10 recruit among dual-threat quarterbacks.
While Joyner listed four other schools, he made several visits this season to watch the Gamecocks. Also, South Carolina head coach Will Muschamp, along with offensive coordinator Kurt Roper, were in attendance for Joyner’s final game of his high school career.
