Rock Hill (S.C.) Northwestern class of 2019 three-star wide receiver Jamario Holley didn't take long to decide where he wants to play his college ball.

Jamario Holley committed to South Carolina Friday afternoon during an unofficial visit to the school.

Holley chose the Gamecocks over offers from Florida State, Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia Tech.

Holley was recruited to Carolina by running backs coach Bobby Bentley, who is his recruiter of record, and offensive   coordinator Bryan McClendon.Rivals.com ranks Holley as the No. 4 overall prospect in South Carolina's 2019 class.

Also Holley, the No. 44 wide receiver in the Class of 2019, according to the 247Sports composite, committed over offers   from Arkansas, Kentucky, and Virginia Tech, among others. The previous staffs at Florida State and Tennessee also   offered.

“It’s really good,” Holley recently said of the Gamecocks. “Everything is falling into place with them.”

The 6-foot, 180-pound prospect visited South Carolina last month.

“I think the best thing is his hands,” Northwestern High School coach James Martin said. “Balls are thrown to him and you wonder, how did he catch that ball? And it’s just like a magnet a lot of times, so he’s really reliable catching the ball.

“There’s multifacets of his game that make it fun to watch him. But I think the biggest thing I like watching is him on tunnel screens, just seeing him catch a ball and picking his spot and go. It’s fun to watch.”

Holley, the No. 2 overall prospect from the state of South Carolina, has had a productive three seasons for the Trojans.
