4-star WR Warren Thompson to announce Wednesday

The 2018 South Carolina recruiting class could pick up another addition on Wednesday. Four-star wide receiver Warren Thompson lists the Gamecocks as a finalist.
Florida State is the other, according to a tweet from Tuesday night, during which Thompson released his announcement date
Thompson, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound prospect, attends Armwood High School in Seffner, Fla. According to the 247Sports composite, the former Oregon commitment is the No. 28 wide receiver in the Class of 2018.
Over the weekend, Thompson took an official visit to South Carolina.
“It was good, I really liked it. I was totally surprised about everything, in a good way,” Thompson told reporters, following the visit. “The town and everything, and I liked the coaches. Coach [Will] Muschamp, the receivers coach [bryan McClendon], I liked everything about it. I liked the facilities and everything.”
South Carolina signed three wide receivers in December: 4-star Josh Vann, 3-star Tyquan Johnson and 3-star Darius Rush. Rush, who enrolled earlier this month, could potentially play defensive back.
Publicly, the Gamecocks have one wide receiver committed: 3-star junior college prospect Ronnie Jamison. Four-star athlete Bryce Thompson, who’s also committed, has been recruited to play defensive back, but he could potentially work into the mix as a wide receiver.
