The South Carolina Gamecocks have only had two-five star recruits—Jadeveon Clowney and Marcus Lattimore—during the Spurrier era.
If they land OL Isaiah Wilson, an offensive lineman from Brooklyn's Poly Prep, then it will be three. Everything about the rising junior is big: his size (6'6', 330), the number of offers (19 and counting), and his projected impact, ranked as the nation's top OL and a top-15 player overall nationally in his class. He recently released his top 10 and the Gamecocks are in it with Auburn, Alabama, Florida State, Ohio State, Maryland, Nebraska, Miami (Oh.), Michigan and Rutgers, with no favorite thus far. (ICYMI, this is a very, very large young man. You can teach a football player a lot of things, but 6'6", 330 isn't one of them.)
