Hopefully our batters will stay productive. Looking at their starter...
The Citadel Gant Starling (Sr. RHP) 0-0, 7.36 ERA, 11.0 IP, 8 BB, 16 SO
we may be able to score a few runs on him. He has a few K's but his ERA is high.

Will an OOC team put their best pitcher up against us, or save their best guys for conference games?

The Charlotte loss was disappointing, but we actually went up 2 places after sweeping a good Mizzou team.

Would the coach of an OOC team bring all hands on deck to go for the upset or save the best arms for his own league play?

I don't know, but the Bulldogs are trending toward a so-so season. I still wouldn't waste our best bullpens arms on The Citadel tonight. Save those guys for the other Bulldogs (MSST) this weekend.

Coach Kingston definitely didn't waste bullpen arms. Instead, he let 7 of them get in one inning each. Not wearing anyone out but letting so many of them get game time in.
Looking forward to the Miss. St. series. They were swept by UK on the road and Vandy at home so far. 3 of those losses were by 10 run rule. Maybe we can sweep them again at their house.

Just out of curiosity I went and looked at the Roster and stats today.
There are 18 total pitchers on the Roster. 2 of which had not even pitched in any games until last night.
The entire staff has an ERA of 2.81

Yeah, the home run stuff definitely creates excitement and interest in the team, but we're ranked very because of our pitching and fielding as well.

Yardcocks win 13-2 via the 10-run mercy rule at the end of the 7th inning.
