Nice summary of the different flavors of offense.

"Pro-style" can mean a traditional pocket QB like Bama runs or it also can mean the same thing as the Ravens' offense with Lamar Jackson. That's really what irks me when I hear "Pro-style" out of a Gamecock coach's mouth. There are just different types of Pro-style offenses these days and we only seem to want to run one kind, the kind that loses most of the time in recent years.

The best one is a hybrid style like UGA runs with Stetson Bennett. That guy is a great runner who makes the right cuts when he has to. Mimic success instead of failure.

offenses have to evolve because defenses learn and adjust, what worked 5 years ago or even last year may not work to the same degree as defenses counter. some systems become outdated and there is no perfect system. you have to be able to scheme to take advantage of the whole field/defense and be adaptable.
