Another commitment day for Gamecocks as they wait on two

Gamecocks went into Friday hoping to land two commitments but came up empty. However, they could land two on Saturday. The Gamecocks missed on WR Jonathan Paylor of Burlington, NC when he announced for NC State. And then 2026 QB Logan Duckworth of Jackson, AL twice delayed his announcement Friday before rescheduling it for 2:00 PM Eastern on Saturday.
Also Saturday at 4:00 PM Eastern, SAF Jalewis Solomon will reveal his decision between the Gamecocks and Auburn. Friday Solomon’s coach Darren Alford said Solomon had not told him anything regarding his decision. Alford did have high praise for Shane Beamer and his staff and the way in which they recruited his player. Solomon took June official visits to South Carolina, Florida State, and Kentucky. He was back at South Carolina last Friday and then went to Auburn Saturday. 247Sports and On3 Sports are predicting the Gamecocks will get his pledge while Rivals says it will be Auburn.
