Glad to see others starting game threads. I'll kick this one off. You guys feel free to post your own if you like as well.

Here are some possession efficiency stats for both teams:

Here are the conference-only stats for the Hogs.

So, we theoretically have a slight advantage in possession efficiency (.046) if we are matched-up head-to-head based on SEC-play-only stats. The negative possession efficiency numbers for both teams are indicative of losing or barely-winning records.

Here are the possession efficiency numbers for both teams for the overall regular season up to this point:

USC is .037 and ARK is (-.038)

From the overall season standpoint, we have much better possession efficiency than the Hogs, but they have beaten ranked Memphis and UNC teams in OOC play. However, one of their losses was to UNC-Greensboro early in the season.

The Hogs are consistently out-scored and they get to the FT line a lot whether you are talking about conference-only or overall play. We gotta play good defense and score, or the game will be very similar to the UGA loss with the same results.

The Bama loss threw our efficiency margin out of whack.

The team hasn't played enough games yet to give us a positive margin in conference play yet. We'll see.

The Razorbacks like to get to the free throw line as they rank third nationally in free throw attempts per game (27.4) and fifth in the country in free throws made per game (19.6). There were 71 combined foul shots in Arkansas’ win over the Aggies on Tuesday. The Razorbacks, who are 8-1 at home this season (only loss was to No. 13/11 Auburn), also lead the nation in blocks per game (6.7).

So that confirms my analysis numbers. Lamont is analytical, too, so I think we have a decent chance for a win.

Stay focus.

Gamecocks win 77-64 over Arkansas to improve to 15-3 overall and 3-2 in conference play. A good bounce back from their loss to Georgia last week - we'll be playing Kentucky next, then @ Tennessee 2 games after that, then Mississippi 2 games after that, then @ Auburn 2 games after that. All ranked opponents and tough games. Between those games however we play Missouri, @ Georgia, Vanderbilt, and LSU. We have a good chance to go 4-4 in those games, although they will be tough. It would be great to go at least .500 in SEC play, which would put us at 21-10 heading into the conference tournament. Would that be good enough to get us into.....you know.....?

Great looking team out there today. Even when Ark close it to a 7 pt lead, they just played stronger D and opened it back up then really stretched the lead out.
When they got to a 17 pt lead, I was like "this is like a ladies game!"

I think we will be the hunted for the lesser teams left on the schedule, so Vandy is a potential Coppin St. LOL

Very nice road win. Looked like a well coached basketball team out there.

It's been to watch Lamont's demeanor change in a positive way since he's been here.

He was neutral when he first got here last year, then confident early this season.

Now you can tell he wants it all and he's hongry!! He's into it and the competitive fire is burning.

Lamont, he hongry!!
