Fun article to read even if it gives probably too positive of a spin on everything. I guess this is the time of year for sun shine pumping.

That's cool I didn't realize they were relatedCould be, but Mike Peterson can fill most of that gap - FLA native, star at UF under Steve Spurrier, spent 6 years playing for Jacksonville (and another 4 at ATL) in the pros.
I am not familiar with the his younger brother, but apparently he is also a foosball player - Adrian Peterson. Plays RB I think. He also has a cousin from South Carolina (Sumter) that played in the NFL - Freddie Solomon. Who had a lot to do with why we are not in the ACC now.
Very good points!Could be, but Mike Peterson can fill most of that gap - FLA native, star at UF under Steve Spurrier, spent 6 years playing for Jacksonville (and another 4 at ATL) in the pros. He also coached at UF, just prior to coming to USC.

So lots of connections to Florida - and lots of NFL ties, which the recruits love.
news to me as well! That's cool I didn't realize they were related
I'll choose to stay positive until I have a reason not to be, but I get your point.Fun article to read even if it gives probably too positive of a spin on everything. I guess this is the time of year for sun shine pumping.
Nope. I think he's waiting to see if Derek Mason opts for the LSU job. IMHO it is going to come down to Mason if he can get him or Kevin Steele if not.Has Shane named a Defensive Coord yet?
My job has conditioned me to be critical of information so it always sets off alarms for me when someone or some source is invariably positive.I'll choose to stay positive until I have a reason not to be, but I get your point.
Not being critical of you at all hope I did not come across that way. Just saying I think a positive piece on the program is a good thing right now and recruits may read that piece to hear more about the guys recruiting them, so I will take it. I do think most of the guys on this staff have shown they know what they are doing and I hope this article proves accurate. My job has conditioned me to be critical of information so it always sets off alarms for me when someone or some source is invariably positive.
Oh I didn't feel criticized at all. If I had it would have also been alright. I also completely agree with you that positive press is a good thing. I only questioned the accuracy. However, I share your hope that it is an underestimate of the staff's ability. Not being critical of you at all hope I did not come across that way. I don't actually think we had that great of success recruiting with CWM. Certainly, he also didn't do a great job developing the talent that he did have. There is minimal difference in the recruiting rankings the five years before CWM and the five years that he was here. When we won, we recruited much better than CWM ever did.I believe that we do have some really strong recruiters on the new staff. The flip side is that we also had strong recruiters under Muschamp, and Muschamp himself had that whole ice and Eskimo thing going on.
Beamer comes across well and I think that he can match Muschamp's success with recruiting. Muschamp's problems were developing the guys and his old-school schemes. Muschamp seemed incapable of meddling on both sides of the ball, or coming up with newer and better approaches than what UGA did in the 1990s. And his in-game decision making was poor.
This.Certainly, he also didn't do a great job developing the talent that he did have.
Think about how much worse Tavien Feaster did when cwm coached him and how quiet or five star recruits have beenThis.

True, talent was there but Chump pissed it away.I believe that we do have some really strong recruiters on the new staff. The flip side is that we also had strong recruiters under Muschamp, and Muschamp himself had that whole ice and Eskimo thing going on.

In the presser on Monday, CSB made a point of talking about how excited he was to integrate concepts of the Oklahoma system into the advanced run and pass schemes of CMB.Anybody watching the Florida/Oklahoma game? I'm a little behind but Oklahoma's offense reminds me a lot of what we saw with Bobo this season. I seriously got deja vu on a couple of plays. Now I completely understand Coach Beamer's comment about Bobo running a very similar offense.

I am for all of the above. If this is what our offense is striving for under Beamer, I like it!
