I was just thinking that the last time the Gamecocks lost in WB, was against Auburn in '11. Shortly after Klempsun beat Auburn by 2 TDs in dead valley.
Now let's get this straight. Klempsun beat Auburn handily. Giving Auburn their first loss as the defending NC. Good win over an overrated Auburn team. They proceeded to beat 2 more top 15 teams and were on their way to the NC.
South Carolina got outplayed and outcoached in a 16-13 loss to Auburn. Auburn sold out to stop Lattimore and forced us to throw the ball. Which we could not do effectively. They had to use a desperate tactic to put themselves in a position to win against a team with superior talent. Hey, Klempsun just did the same thing to LSU.
All I can say, is LSU had 1 of those nights and couldn't adjust to Klempsun. It happens. Klempsun beat LSU, but LSU is still the better team, based on their tougher schedule and bigger wins. Just like the Gamecocks were a better team than Auburn in 2011, but lost.
The shared opponent argument didn't work last year. Taters beat Auburn and Auburn beat South Carolina. Well, the Gamecocks got it together and ended up routing Klempsun. You taters have nothing to say until you BEAT THE GAMECOCKS!!!!! You will have the opportunity in November, so lace up your boots tight and get ready for WAR!!!!
