Bayside High (Virginia Beach, Va.) running back Taquan Mizzell (5’10/180) has added offers from UCLA and Notre Dame. Mizzell has 15 offers and will likely continue to add more in the near future. Miami, Pittsburgh, Washington, and Tennessee are some of the schools that appear to be close to extending scholarships to the talented playmaker. He plans to narrow his list of schools down sometime this summer. Mizzell is Scout’s No. 32 running back nationally.

Over the past few weeks, Bunn High (Bunn, N.C.) athlete Johnathan Alston (6’3/194) has seen his stock continue to rise. Alston previously had offers from East Carolina, Notre Dame, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Recently, he picked up offers from North Carolina State, Arkansas, and Tennessee. Scout’s No. 34 outside linebacker visited N.C. State last week and said he enjoyed the trip.

Peter Kalambayi (6’2/235) continues to add to his already lengthy scholarship list. Oregon, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M are the latest schools to offer the Butler High (Matthews, N.C.) star. Scout’s No. 4 middle linebacker has close to 25 scholarship offers. Kalambayi said Stanford, Oregon, North Carolina, Ohio State, Michigan, Virginia, and Duke are the schools that are standing out.

Josh McNeil (6’5/240) has been one of the hottest prospects in the country this year. On Tuesday, the Hillside High (Durham, N.C.) standout picked up an offer from Pittsburgh. Scout’s No. 5 tight end will visit South Carolina on March 31 and Ohio State on April 21. McNeil has over 20 scholarship offers.

Justin Bridges-Thompson (6’2/195) has seen his recruitment pick up. The Spartanburg High (Spartanburg, S.C.) prospect has offers from North Carolina State, Wake Forest, Hampton, Arizona, and Pittsburgh. He is also receiving heavy interest from numerous other schools. Bridges-Thompson will hit the road this weekend and visit both Alabama and Auburn. He said Oregon and Alabama are the main schools standing out for him.

Tarboro High (Tarboro, N.C) defensive end Tyquan Lewis (6’4/220) added an offer from LSU on Tuesday. It is offer No. 12 for Lewis. He will visit South Carolina on March 31.

2012 Lake Taylor High (Norfolk, Va.) defensive back Mike Tyson will head to Hargrave Military Academy next fall. Tyson currently holds offers from Virginia Tech, Virginia, Penn State, Maryland, North Carolina Central, and Old Dominion. Virginia Tech, and Penn State are currently his top schools.
