Class of 2015 four-star cornerback Jalen Thompson (Mobile, Ala./St. Paul's Episcopal) will announce his college decision on Friday, the 5-foot-10, 170-pounder says.
Thompson -- who at one time had a top five including South Carolina, Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi State and Georgia -- says his recruitment is actually down to the Gamecocks and South Alabama.
Thompson visited both USC and USA last week.
Linebackers coach Kirk Botkin and defensive backs coach Grady Brown are recruiting Thompson for the Gamecocks
