It appears USC will go one for two with their two junior college signees waiting for admission to school. DB Toure Boyd of Chaffey JC, CA appears to be in good shape to be admitted soon to the university a source indicated Monday. But DE Devante Covington of Georgia Military JC now appears likely not to make it in according to his coach Monday night.

“Unless a miracle happens, he’s not going to get one of his classes this summer,” GMA coach Bert Williams said. “Grades aren’t due until tomorrow (Tuesday). I’ve got to get a final word from the staff there at Carolina and see what they would like to do and we’ll advise him from there.”

Williams said his offensive lineman who committed to USC last month, Akeem Cooperwood, has his weight down to between 335-340 pounds. He won’t graduate until next spring. And his defensive end who has been committed to the Gamecocks, Kalan Ritchie, is looking good with his grades to be a mid-year graduate. Williams said both sides remain committed to each other.

Maybe a miracle will really happen convington, lucky day
