Any truth to the rumor that Neal Brown was interviewed?  

I don't know if it's true.
But I'd be a bit worried about him.
He did build Troy into a winner, but he did it with the Defensive Coordinator that Swinney had who let LSU light them up in the Orange Bowl. Koenning. And Koenning ended up having allegations of racially insensitivity end his time when he followed Brown to WVU, I think.
So I'm not sold. (Was the sports page designer for the Dothan Eagle the entire time Brown was at Troy. Laid out a lot of stuff with him on the page.)

Tanner and the Pres. are on different page here on the hiring.  Beamer all Tanner while Pres. wants a proven coach. So no done deal here yet. This is going to be interesting next few days. If Beamer, should be a hiring next few days. Beamer could become a great coach. My only question why are there no other schools seeing that. Then I think of Dabo. I just want to winner. Really do not care if I Like the coach or not. Just win baby that’s all I want.

Yes, the Board was all about Herman last time and look how that turned out , well he's getting paid back for what he done to U.S.C. , they played  Tanner I knew then that Tanner should have been gone, now their letting him do it again, what an mess .  Why pay Beamer for 4 years  he  has done nothing yet. What about 1.75 million an year for 3 years.   That's over doubling you're salary show you can get it done.

That only makes sense for the people writing the contract, but the coaches/agents don't seem to go for that.  They want guaranteed money and don't seem as concerned about incentives like winning championships.  

Bobo is pretty good but I don't think he's our best answer as OC.  Him sticking with Hill did him in for me.

 As I have said in the past the new Coach needs to clean house , no one needs to be left on this staff, even the janitors and cleaning crews , also fire the radio staff I mean clean house, Tell Tommy Suggs his key does not work anymore and Todd Ellis , the culture has to change and tell the Boosters put the money in and we  won't be doing any around the state booster meetings until this changes the losing will be for ever, and finally Fire Ray Tanner.

I am not a sports agent and don't play one on TV. So it seems to me IF Beamer is selected at his age deferred money would be a plus for him, right? Make his bones at USC and either stay for more upfront money plus bonus and deferred money or move on for a better deal. Not a financial services guy either.

His name BEAMER reminds me of BMW (Bavarian Motor Works) opening a plant in South Carolina. It changed the meaning of BMW to "Buba Making Wheels!"
