In 1996 Corey Bridges had 28 receptions for 399 yards and Marcus Robinson had 28 receptions for 253 yards.
Despite only finishing at 6-5 for year and not going to a bowl game, the Gamecocks still managed to knock off #22 Clemson 34-31 at Death Valley at the end of the season.
