Though he has already committed to USC, 3 star WR Jerad Washington 6'1" 170lbs of Jacksonville, FL was at a junior day in Columbia Saturday. The visit only strengthened his commitment to the Gamecocks. Washington said he loved it and is “more than positive I’m going to be a Gamecock.”
“We went to their practice Saturday morning and then to a scrimmage,” he said. “I loved the intensity of the players and how they run things. The players go hard but they have a lot of fun. They love football and they get to do it every day.”
Washington is also a baseball fan and was spent some time at Carolina Stadium Saturday night. “Right when we were walking up, we got to see the walk-off home run in the first game,” Washington said. “We left a couple of innings before they did it again. It was pretty awesome.”
He continues to hear from Kentucky and “a few other schools” but Washington does not see anything changing his mind. “I’m just working out and getting stronger,” he said. “I’m also playing on a 7-on-7 team so we’re traveling a lot.”
