Steve Spurrier just held his weekly Sunday teleconference to share a few more thoughts on his team’s win over Arkansas and take a look ahead to next week’s matchup against a Wofford team he said is never easy to beat.
You can listen to the call below, but here are a few of the highlights of the HBC’s comments:
Spurrier said Connor Shaw re-injured his foot against Arkansas and is back in a walking boot today. However, it looks like Shaw should be back on the practice field by the middle of the week.
Spurrier said there is no thought about holding Shaw out this week against Wofford unless he geninuly is too hurt to play. He said they will need everyone to beat the Terriers.
DeAngelo Smith didn’t dress out Saturday because he cut his eye lid in practice last week.
Spurrier said despite Alabama’s loss Saturday the SEC can still keep its streak of national championships alive. He believes the league’s strength of schedule will benefit a one loss SEC team over other teams that have played weaker schedules.
