D.Thompson reminds me a lot of Wuerffel.

Physically he does resemble him a little. They are both pretty religious too.

It's been a long time, but just to my recollection Dylan seems to have a better arm. A little more accurate than Wuerffel. If I remember correctly Danny W. didn't have a cannon, and I think he missed receivers sometimes.

They seem to be about as athletic, but Wuerffel seemed to have more of the scrambling knack (eyes in the back of your head), and decision making about when to run.

Memory can play tricks on you, but it just seems to me that what made Danny Wuerffel great was what was between his ears. Dylan might develop that, we'll see.

Dylan's mechanics are much better than Danny's. .

If you look at Danny's throwing motion and his tendency to lean into throws and almost push the pass, you see why the NFL did not like him. However, he could get the ball where it needed to go and was as good as anyone ever at the college level in reading defenses. For the first time in a long time, I believe we have quaterbacks that have the capability of checking off to a pass play rather than a quarterback run, which is evidence of good quarterback development and hard work on their part. Defenses disguise coverages much more than they did when Spurrier was at Florida. Heck, many defenses would line up in a base 50 and not do a thing different. That's why Spurrier was able to shell shock the SEC.
