Davis vs Wilds

I know everyone is in love with Mike Davis right now and believe me I like his skills too. Very explosive, very exciting to watch. And this may just be me, but I actually like Brandon Wilds a little better as far as being a complete back for us. In fact I think his game is very similar Lattimore's. Runs hard behind his pads getting yards after contact, catches well out out of the back field, and seems to block well too. Not to mention he's actually faster than Davis. Now I'm not raggin on David but I just happen to like Wilds a lot... Opinions

I like them both. I think Brandon has slightly better patience, and vision. Brandon is very, very good at knifing through small holes and getting positive yards. I understand that Brandon ran a faster 40 time, but let's get serious for a second. Davis is significantly quicker, has a better burst, and is more dangerous in the open field. Wilds is not a faster football player than Davis. Wilds just does not have very quick feet, but that doesn't mean he's not a very good back. I think they are equal, as far as pass blocking, and catching the ball.

Brandon is very big, also, and is a load to bring down. He runs with a good lean, and I do not envy the guys that have to tackle him. Davis is strong as hell, and is powerful in a different way. He kind of slings people off of him. They both deliver blows, as opposed to taking them. I am thankful we have both on the team.
