Dawgs renew battle

Athens bound

The South Carolina-Georgia recruiting war will wage on in 2018 and beyond, so naturally there are several prospects on the Gamecocks’ board scheduled to hit Athens this weekend when these schools clash.

Below are a few recruits confirmed by SEC Country as guests for the game on Saturday.

  • 4-star LB Channing Tindall (Columbia, S.C.)
  • 4-star CB Jaycee Horn (Alpharetta, Ga.)
  • 4-star DT Rick Sandidge (Concord, N.C.)
  • 2019 4-star ATH Jammie Robinson (Cordele, Ga.)
There will be plenty of others, according to DawgNation’s Jeff Sentell. South Carolina and Georgia will battle for many of the same recruits as long as Muschamp and Kirby Smart are both manning their current posts.

Notre Dame official visit

Three-star defensive end Kingsley Enagbare, one of the top defensive prospects committed to South Carolina’s 2018 class, is set to take an official visit to Notre Dame.

Hapeville Charter coach Winston Gordon doesn’t think there’s anything for the Gamecocks to worry about with the No. 22 strongside defensive end in the country, according to 247Sports.

“He’s just like any other kid, he’s going to take his officials,” Gordon said, during an interview with Phil Kornblut. “He said he’s committed to the University of South Carolina, and I don’t think he’s thinking anything.

“I think he’s rock solid to South Carolina. I don’t think anything will waver that. He’s taking the visit just because it’s Notre Dame. I don’t think he’ll take any other visits. One thing about my kids, they don’t waver.”

Enagbare committed to South Carolina earlier this year over offers from Georgia and Georgia Tech. The 6-foot-4, 257-pound prospect was supposed to be a Georgia lean before he committed in late July.
