DB Isaiah Stallings (6'4" 200lbs) of Fayetteville, NC was named to the North Carolina Shrine Bowl team on Monday and he’s a
safety being pursued by USC and Clemson. Both have offered and he has them in his top five along with NC State, Duke and Ole Miss.
He has been to USC, NC State and Duke this season and he plans to get to Clemson and Ole Miss at some point. This coming weekend he plans to be at the USC-LSU game. He also visited the Gamecocks for the Kentucky game.
“It was pretty nice, I liked the atmosphere,” Stallings said of that USC visit. “It was my first time going to a South Carolina game and it was pretty cool to see the whole experience and how everything goes. They like the fact I’m a bigger safety than usual and I can cover space. Coach Hoke told me about the defense he’s bring there and it’s similar to what I play here in high school so if I was to go there it wouldn’t be that hard for me to pick up.”
Clemson wanted Stallings to visit last weekend but he couldn’t make it. He’s never been to a game at Clemson but he did visit for a junior day as a sophomore.
“They’re telling me pretty much the same thing South Carolina is saying,” Stallings said. “I need to get down there to watch a game.”
Stallings said he will take some official visits and he’s not sure when he’ll make his decision. He is not graduating early. This season he has 63 tackles and 3 interceptions.
