One of the top campers at USC Wednesday was DE Alex Jackson of Montgomery, AL. He was on hand with a few teammates as they make a run thru camps this week. There were at Alabama Tuesday and will be at Clemson Thursday.
“I did very well at the camp,” Jackson said. “In the second half we went one on one and I went undefeated in that. I was working with Coach Thompson and he showed me some new pass rushing moves and I used that in the one on ones and they worked. Anytime you can take coaching I’m going to take it. Coach Muschamp said he liked the way I can move around and he can use me at any position on the field. He said he’s been around the game a long time and he knows how to make a player great. It was a great experience.”
Jackson has a top ten, in no order, of USC, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Southern Cal, Tennessee, Texas, LSU, Miami and NC State. This visit to USC, he said, will certainly keep the Gamecocks on the short list.
“I’m more confident in that school now,” he said. “They are still going to be pretty high on my list.”
Jackson said he was blown away by his visit to Alabama Tuesday.
“Saban is a pretty cool dude,” Jackson said. “But once he gets mad it’s like, shooo.”
Jackson said Clemson has been recruiting him but has not yet offered. He’ll learn more from the Tigers on his visit there Thursday.
Jackson plans to wait until National Signing Day for his decision.
