those five trips. Woods has penciled in on his calendar trips to USC (Jan. 16), Florida, Miami, Georgia Tech and West Virginia. He originally had Tennessee down for an official visit but he’s replaced the Vols with the Gators. He’s got all five even on his list and wants to keep an open mind about things until he completes his visits.

Woods said he’s been in touch with Gamecock recruiter Steve Spurrier Jr. via social media and he’s expecting Spurrier Jr. to come to one of his games sometime soon. And the Gamecocks’ slow start this season hasn’t reduced his interest in them.

“Coach Spurrier, that same team he can go beat whoever he wants with it,” Woods said. “He’s great coach and it’s still a great team, a good team,” Woods said.

Woods said Georgia Tech and West Virginia started recruiting him later than the rest and has been pushing hard of late, but USC and Florida have been on him the longest and with the most consistency. He’s never visited USC and has no ties to the state.

He has been to Florida for a game this season and probably will go back to Gainesville this weekend for the Tennessee game. He doesn’t have any other game visits planned at this point.
