Matthew Butler
DE Matthew Butler of Garner, NC said South Carolina is “neck and neck” with the other three schools in his top four right now.  Along with South Carolina, Butler has Duke, NC State and Tennessee in his top four and said a lot of factors will come into play when he makes his decision.

“I’m going to make my decision based on a lot of factors,” Butler said. “Most are unexplainable, but you know education, football, comfort from my family, comfort from me, coaching staff, all that type of stuff.”

The 6-foot-4, 240-pound Butler has strong, positive feelings for each of his top four schools and said his decision will ultimately come down to small details.

“The thing is I’m really comfortable making any four of those decisions,” Butler said. “It’s going to be the little things, small factors that are going to tie into the decision. It’s very neck and neck but those are the types of things I’m going to be looking at when I choose a school.”

To focus on fall practice, Butler has finished making college visits for the summer.  He plans to make his official visits sometime this fall but does not want to rush his decision. He expects to have his decision by October.
