DE Wanogho Jr. will stay in his adopted home state

February 3, 2015

There will be no more official visits for DE Tega Wanogho Jr. of Elmore, AL. The native of Nigeria has decided to sign tomorrow with Auburn. He visited Auburn last weekend. Prior to that he made an official visit to LSU.

The story was first reported by Andrew Bone of Rivals.com.

Wanogho had planned not to sign tomorrow and continue with his visits. He had trips scheduled to Tennessee and Mississippi State. He also considered scheduling a visit to USC.

But the process was beginning to wear on Wanogho who came to this country to play basketball and discovered football for the first time last season. He was an instant sensation and when he decided to reclassify as a senior in 2015, the offers came flying in.

With Wanogho off the board, USC waits on word from DB Rashad Fenton of Miami. The Gamecocks are hoping to land a commitment from him possibly today.

They are also in touch with AC Flora DB/WR Denzel Johnson who will not sign Wednesday. He is hoping to get his test score and grades up to the point where he can qualify for a scholarship from USC or Clemson.
