Orangeburg-Wilkinson DL Albert Huggins plans to announce his decision in a couple of weeks. Or maybe not. Ryan Bartow of 247Sports reported Monday Huggins will hold an announcement at his school on December 12th. However, in an interview with Paul Strelow of TigerIllustrated, Huggins said he hasn’t finalized plans for an announcement. Attempts to reach Humphrey Wednesday night for clarity were unsuccessful. What is clear is that Huggins is choosing between Clemson and Georgia, his only two official visits. Head coaches Dabo Swinney and Mark Richt are expected to visit Huggins this week.
Coaches from Southern Cal are expected to visit with TE Chris Clark of Ridgewood, NJ Tuesday. Clark is committed to Michigan but because of the shaky status of the coaching staff there, he is looking around. He has said he will take official visits to USC, Southern Cal, Texas, North Carolina and UCLA. He was at North Carolina, where he was once committed, last weekend.
USC commitment OL Paris Palmer of Lackawanna JC, PA made an official visit to Penn State last weekend. Palmer, who committed to USC in March, made his official visit with the Gamecocks for the South Alabama game and said after that his commitment was still firm.
Punter Sean Kelly of Winter Garden, FL hopes to hear something from USC by the middle of this month about his eligibility to transfer. Kelly attends Tallahassee Junior College and said Monday night he’s just waiting to see which of his credits USC will accept and if that will be enough for him to get in. But he has not yet totally decided on USC because he’s still considering his options with Florida State.
