DL Kwamell Barnes (6-5 295) of Saluda is hearing from Clemson, USC and North Carolina among others. He has visited all three schools and plans to make return trips to each this fall for football games. Barnes is showing a lot of interest in the Tigers and Gamecocks. "Clemson is a family atmosphere," Barnes said. "All of the coaches there are like father-figures." He has been to a junior day and a spring game at Clemson. As for USC he said, "South Carolina is a school that tries to get the best players at each position. They try and get the best out of you every day." He is less familiar with the Gamecocks but has attended a junior day. "I want to go back for a game so I can see more of the campus and talk to the coaches some more," said Barnes. He has also camped at North Carolina and would like to see learn more about the Tar Heels program. Barnes totaled 37 tackles, seven for loss, three sacks and recovered two fumbles as a sophomore. He does not have a favorite. link: http://www.goupstate.com/article/20120816/PSPORTS02/120819701/-1/PSPORTS
