4 star Shrine Bowl DL Poona Ford 6'1" 285lbs of Hilton Head met Monday morning with USC recruiters Everette Sands and Deke Adams and set an official visit with the Gamecocks for this coming weekend. He had been scheduled to visit Oregon. Last week Ford had decided he wouldn't visit USC and scheduled three other visits, but after tripping to Texas over the weekend, he had a change of heart about the Gamecocks. "It just kind of happened," Ford said. "It's close to home." Ford said his grandmother will join him on the visit. And while saying he doesn't have a favorite among his final three of USC, Texas and Missouri, Ford said a commitment to USC this weekend is possible if everything goes well. He is scheduled to visit Missouri on January 31st.
