Elite South Carolina commit sets final school decision date

South Carolina coach Will Muschamp will be holding his breath until National Signing Day after it was reported on Thursday that elite 4-star CB Jamyest Williams would announce his final college choice on that day (Feb. 1).
According to 247Sports, Williams, a Georgia native, will make a decision between his home-state Bulldogs or the Gamecocks, to whom he’s verbally committed.
Williams, who committed to Muschamp’s squad in August, will announce his choice at his high school during a ceremony at 9 a.m. Eastern time.
The 247Sports composite has Williams listed as the No. 8 corner in the class of 2017 and the No. 9 overall recruit from the state of Georgia.
