Shawn Elliott is leaving his job as USC’s offensive line coach to become the head coach at Georgia State. The three offensive linemen committed to the Gamecocks remain locked in but one of Elliott’s targets, former USC commitment TJ Moore of Charlotte, isn’t so sure about joining the Gamecocks at this point.
“I don’t know,” Moore said. “That was another good reason I had a great relationship with South Carolina. Me and coach Elliott go back to my freshman year. I really wanted to be coach by coach Elliott. I have a good relationship with the other coaches at South Carolina, but me and coach Elliott had that special bond, so I don’t feel the same way about them.”
This week Moore has seen coaches from USC, Florida, NC State and Tennessee. Will Muschamp called his Thursday but he missed it.
This weekend Moore will take an official visit to NC State. He is scheduled to visit USC January 14th but that visit is now up in the air. He has Tennessee set for January 21st and Virginia Tech for the 28th, and he also wants to visit Florida.
Moore does not have a favorite at this point.
