Four-star OL Dylan Wonnum puts ink to paper signs with Gamecocks
Feb.07,2018
Less than a week after verbally committing to South Carolina Saturday, Tucker (Ga.) class of 2018 four-star offensive tackle Dylan Wonnum officially signed with the program early Wednesday morning and sent in his letter of intent.
The 6-foot-5, 293-pounder, ranked the No. 9 offensive tackle in the country by Rivals.com, chose the Gamecocks over finalists Auburn and Tennessee, among multiple other offers.
"I chose South Carolina because I felt it was a better fit for me and I get to play alongside my brother," Wonnum said. "(Will) Muschamp has been diligently recruiting me for two years."
Wonnum was a top target for offensive line coach Eric Wolford, who teamed with area recruiter Bryan McClendon, to land the state of Georgia's No. 13 prospect.
