GAME 2 - Segra Park

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- The University of South Carolina baseball team (6-3) continues to Game #2 in its annual three-game series against in-state rival Clemson (8-1) Saturday at Segra Park (capacity 9,077) in Columbia, the home of the New York Mets Class A Minor League Columbia Fireflies. The Tigers won Game #1 7-1 in Founders Park convincingly, allowing only one hit for the Gamecocks, a solo home-run in the bottom 9th inning by Brady Allen. Gamecock Starter Carmen Mlodzinski (1-1) pitched 6.0 innings with 8 strikeouts and only 1 walk, but gave up 10 hits, including three 2-RBI homeruns in in the 4th, 5th, and 6th innings.
The second game of the series is being called the "Battle at BullStreet" by Segra Park promoters - and will be a festivity setting beginning at 11:00 AM at the stadium with live music, food, and beer. Saturday's game will be streamed by ACC Network Extra, and will be broadcast on The Game 107.5 FM with Derek Scott, Tommy Moody and Drew Meyer on the call.
