GAMECOCK-GAMEDAY THREAD: South Carolina vs. Ole Miss ***Feb. 05,  at 7:0pm.***

We lost because Frank was pouting on the sidelines instead of coaching the team when he needed to, just like he's done for the last 3 years.  There's no leadership on court because he doesn't even try to be the example for the team when the chips are down.

It's not that we lose, but how we lose that pisses me off.  Selection committees don't reward a coach that doesn't put out enough effort to win and they have had enough time to figure Frank out by now.

I wish I could get paid $2M to only work 4 months a year and do marginal work.  Only at Carolina.

Carolina men's athletics...doing less with more.

We won't even make it to the NIT again this year and I am tired of watching it.

Frank needs to go to another league that's not as competitive as the SEC.  He needs to go.

Cousnard and Kotsar were it.  Nobody else did anything to help us win.  On either end of the court.   Lawson was MIA.   The young bigs (McCreary, Leveque, Frink) were awful.  None of them did anything to help the team.   Bad defense all night long.  But I think the zone was better than our man-to-man.    But none of it was good.

Our opponents guards look forward to playing us because we can't guard any of them.

USC almost never wins a man's basketball game when we lose the first four minutes.   We played from behind for 40 minutes tonight.

For this team to win, Kotsar, Lawson, and Couisnard have to play well, and someone off the bench has to be good.   We had half that tonight.  Not enough bench help.   Lawson was MIA.

Bryant isn't giving us much.   Our young bigs aren't giving us much.   Our bench guards didn't give us much tonight.   Just didn't give Kotsar and Couis enough help.

Another problem is that we can't guard the other team's guards.   Every team we play their guards eat us up.   I think Frank needs to play more zone.   That keeps the other team's guards from getting to the rim so much.   I don't worry about giving up threes.   What kills us is penetration.   We either foul and give up FT, or they get to the rim and score.

I don't think we can win playing Leveque, McCreary, and Frink for Minaya.   Those guys are just not productive enough right now.    I don't know the answer, but I think I know what isn't the answer.

Another MAJOR problem is that we have only one Senior who plays, and only one junior who plays.   In order for Frank's teams to be good, they have to have more seniors and juniors than that who are productive.    If everyone  returns, next season that should be less of a problem because we will have 2 seniors and four juniors.   And our freshmen will be sophs, which should help, but as we have seen this season, that is no guarantee.   Frank's teams need upperclassmen who can play in order to be good.

Really disappointed with how we lost this game. I can handle a loss to any SEC team, but not with as poorly as we played last night. Last night shows just how important Minaya is to the team. Someone is going to have to step up, but if they don't we're in for a long February/March.

Lawson, Leveque, Frink, Bolden and McCreary combined scored 7 points.    USC isn't likely to beat anyone when that happens.

You never know what you're going to get with this team.   Consistency does not exist with this group.  When several guys are playing well, they can compete with anyone in the SEC.   But you just never know what to expect.
