Gamecock transfer Jaheim Bell announces commitment to Florida St.
Dec. 12, 2022

Bell on Monday announced a commitment to the Florida State Seminoles, he announced on Twitter. He thanked his fans and his coaches in the 45-second video he posted. Bell caught 56 passes for 757 yards and seven touchdowns in 30 games as a Gamecock. He spent a lot of time as a running back this year as well, with 73 attempts for 261 yards and three scores on the ground.

“I will be taking my talents back to the crib,” Bell said in the video. “Go ‘Noles.” Florida State finished the season 9-3 and earned a trip to the Cheez-it Bowl against Oklahoma. The Seminoles were No. 13 in the final College Football Playoff rankings.

A bit late, I saw on social media that bell and some of the coaching staff got into it. The example was coach day, was trying to motivate Bell when he was loafing on a work out and bell essentially told day to screw off and that he made more money than him.

If true, this would be addition by subtraction.

And supports some of those mid-year rumors about why Bell wasn't getting as much playing time/touches as expected -- not working at improving his blocking.

Not gonna fault someone for doing what they think is best for them, but it's called Free Shoes University for a reason.

We'll be in the CFPs next year; FSU will still be just a name in the ACC.

Buh-bye.
