As the wins pile up, South Carolina continues to rise in the polls. The Gamecocks (15-0, 2-0) jumped to No. 19 in the AP Poll, which is up three spots from last week, after victories at Auburn and home over Vanderbilt to begin Southeastern Conference play.
Head coach Frank Martin saw his team vault five spots in the most recent USA Today/Coaches Poll as well all the way to No. 15. South Carolina the third-highest ranked SEC team in the poll with Kentucky coming in at No. 13 and Texas A&M sandwiched between the Wildcats and Gamecocks. No other SEC team is receiving votes.
The Gamecocks travel to face Alabama on Wednesday night at 9 p.m. on the SEC Network. The next home game is scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. on the SEC Network. Head football coach Will Muschamp will address the crowd at halftime of the game.
