6-6 Jacob Evans of Baton Rouge, LA Tuesday morning committed to Cincinnati over USC according to his coach Drew Hart. Evans narrowed his list to the Bearcats and Gamecocks last week eliminating Tulane and Auburn. LSU also made a late run for him.
“After much though and prayer Jacob Evans has decided to commit to the University of Cincinnati,” Hart wrote in a text message Tuesday morning. ” He is so thankful for all of the wonderful programs that recruited him. It was an extremely tough decision but he felt that Cincinnati was the best fit for him. He is now ready to focus on his senior season and enjoy his final year with his warrior family!”
USC continues to focus much of its 2015 recruiting on two hometown products, PJ Dozier of Spring Valley and Tevin Mack of Dreher, and seven-foot center Rozelle Nix. Dozier will visit Georgetown this weekend followed by trips to USC and Louisville. Mack will make his final official visit this weekend to USC. Nix is down to USC, Pittsburgh and Loyola Marymount. Pitt is the only one he hasn’t visited and he will go there October 24th.
