Gamecocks offers younger brother of former star cornerback

The first offer from the Will Muschamp Football Camp went to 2018 cornerback Steven Gilmore Jr.
Gilmore, the younger brother of former South Carolina cornerback Stephon Gilmore, tweeted about the Gamecocks’ offer after the first workout of the day.
Muschamp personally delivered the news to the younger Gilmore.
“It means a lot,” Gilmore said. “This is what I have been working hard for and it’s only the beginning. (There’s) more work to do.”
Clemson, Wake Forest and NC State are also expressing interest in the 5-foot-10, 160-pound prospect from South Pointe High School (Rock Hill, S.C.).
