Gamecocks take down Troy 23-14, how did the South Carolina perform vs. Troy?

Yes, every  year let's play it out, how about getting some talent in Columbia for the O line, like 5 star kids who want to start right away . The coaches  are o.k.  if you don't have the talent it will not work.
The number of kids that are ranked as 5 star o-lineman ready to play as soon as they hit campus is a very short list and they generally go to the top programs in the country.  Very tough for a high school kid to show up on campus and start right away so a program with the level we are playing at right now will guys that need some time to develop their bodies and put on the weight needed to play at this level.  My comment about change was responding to the question asked above.  This is basically the same line that blocked for Harris to gain 1,100 yards last year so apparently the adjustment to new blocking schemes and offense if not going very well at this moment.

Yes , it called talent for the O line.  and players needed that's  the issue no big time guys on the O line.
They are all highly rated 4-star types on the OL, and they opened holes for the SEC leading rusher last year. The problem isn't o-line talent, it has to do with either the new coaching or the scheme or both. And if all it took was stars, we'd be in great shape, because based on stars alone that line is very talented.

Random thoughts

If the receivers we have would catch a few that would help. Vann can't do it alone others need to step up.

A little early concerning staff ability, I think its player ability right now.

^^THESE.  The OL doesn't have to be perfect every down, but they have to be consistent enough to protect the QB so he can make the right throw.  A WR doesn't have to catch all passes, but enough of the right ones at the right time.

We could have probably beat UK if those two things had happened.

Losing seasons are tough on players and people are gonna talk.  It sounds like we had a very divided locker room before this season.

The "love" stuff sounds a little goofy at first glance, but it's probably a big deal that the locker room is united right now.

Sometimes a simple thing that's wrong will give you the impression there are more complicated problems.

Our players are still the wild card this season to me, but we're going to have to take it one game at a time.  I still think the silver lining of narrow wins against ECU and Troy is the team has been brought down to reality of how things will be if they don't find a way to play better.

Our defense last year was doodoo. Yet this year seems to be turned around. Our offense was rough last year and still is. At what point are we what we are on offense? If the lightbulb hasn’t turned on, will it? We show bits and pieces but never consistent to generate TDs.

really, it's always the coaching here at South Carolina how about talent, should take out billboards on the interstate offensive linemen needed at South Carolina Gamecocks please apply .   They are awful with some bad coaching as well the scheme must be too much they can't play football and think at the same time.

yes, well Doty needs to ask the O line  to bend over at the bench and  kick them in the ass with his foot terrible people are running thru the holes and it's not our running backs.
