Gamecocks wide receiver target has busy weekendJune 13, 2016

South Carolina wide receiver target Justin Marshall, who visited for the first day of the Will Muschamp Football Camp, has changed high schools.

Sunday night, Kipp Adams of Dawgs247 reported that Marshall has officially moved to Newton (Georgia) High, approximately nine miles east of Salem High, his former school.

Marshall, a 3-star, spent the day in Columbia with his father. He also worked out with Gamecocks co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Bryan McClendon.

“It was good,” Marshall said. “(It) definitely gave me a different style of coach that I wasn’t used to in high school.”

He added, “Coach B-Mac told me to stay focused and stay positive. ‘Not many guys have the ability you have so young and the scary part is you can only get better.'”

Ranked as the No. 68 wide receiver in the class of 2017, Marshall picked up a big in-state offer over the weekend:

South Carolina would certainly love to have him; Muschamp made it apparent to Marshall that he’s a wanted man.

“(Muschamp) said he loves my style of play,” Marshall said. “He likes the way I carry myself as a young man.”
