COLUMBIA, S.C. -- The University of South Carolina baseball team opens Southeastern Conference play this weekend, hosting No. 8 Georgia for a three-game series beginning Friday night (March 15) at 7 p.m. at Founders Park. Game two will take place Saturday afternoon (March 16) at 4 p.m. with the series finale Sunday afternoon (March 17) at 1:30 p.m. All three games will be streamed on SEC Network + with Burch Antley and Kip Bouknight on the call. All games will be broadcast on The Game 107.5 FM with Derek Scott, Tommy Moody and Brad Muller on the call. Carolina, winners of four straight contests, is coming off a 10-9 win at The Citadel on Tuesday night as Luke Berryhill drove in four runs, the Gamecocks scored seven runs in the first two innings and hung on for the one-run win.

PARKING INFORMATION

> For the third straight season, shuttle parking for the University of South Carolina baseball season will be operational at the Key Road Gravel Lot (1105 Key Road) and in Lot B of the Colonial Life Arena parking lot. Shuttles will begin running two hours prior to game time.

We strongly recommend that fans use the baseball shuttle from Key Road to Founders Park over the CLA shuttle for the convenience, spacious parking (650 spaces) and less congestion than at the arena. Please remember that at the arena, shuttle parking will be limited to 50 spaces because of the student demand for parking in this area. There is a high student demand Monday through Thursday that lasts until 7 p.m. because of classes. Lots A and B are also reserved for men's and women's basketball parking on Feb. 19, 26, March 3 and March 9.

For GPS purposes, the address for the Key Road Gravel Lot is 1105 Key Road, Columbia, SC 29201.

1-2-3 for South Carolina in B2. Gamecocks trail Georgia 2-0

BOTTOM 3 - Lead cut in half. Brad Allen goes down and gets a fastball over the middle of the plate and low. Drives it out to right field into the bullpen. Wouldn't have carried out if the wind wasn't helping a little bit, but it was. Not sure Cable's homer would have carried out without the wind, either, but that would have been close. Jenkins goes down 0-2 after a daddy hack and a take. Fouls away a fastball off the catcher's foot. That has to be painful. Callil hits a well-placed roller back up the middle. Gets over the base for an infield single. Campbell goes down on an offspeed pitch. Four pitches, this time. Eyster just misses a double down the left field line. We're watching the SEC Network stream and, like yall, saw no replay. But umpire was looking right down the line. No way he could have missed it, and Stuart Lake didn't argue. Eyster goes down looking at the next pitch. UGA leads 2-1

Double play erases an error by Noah Campbell to end T4 for Georgia, but they're reviewing the turn -- looked like Campbell was maybe off the bag Gamecocks

And he was -- the runner at second is safe, two outs in T4

TOP 4 - Sweatt back out there, and gets Schunk to ground out to third to begin the inning. Routine bouncer to Campbell, who has it go through his hands. Basic error there. Meadows grounds to third. Olson's throw as he's charging and moving to his left is wide to the right, pulling Campbell off the base. He throws to first for the out. Second base umpire calls the runner out at second as well, but his error was way worse than Campbell's, and Campbell's was bad. Replay review as challenged by UGA - now done in Birmingham - overturns the call. Runner on second with two down for Cable, the home run hitter. Count goes to 2-2. Pops up to shallow right to end the inning. UGA leads 2-1.

Two-out walk for Jacob Olson, single from Chris Cullen, but Brady Allen gets rung up for third out. Gamecocks trail Georgia 2-1 heading to T5

TOP 5 - A 2-2 changeup away is lined in that direction to left by Sullivan, the seven-hole hitter. One on, no outs for Jernigan, who is hitting .378 this year in 37 at-bats. After a first pitch ball, Skylar Meade comes to the mound for a chat. No one stirring in the bullpen. Breaking ball swinging strike. Chopper up the middle. Callil makes the play on the bag and throws to first for the out.Close play at first, but Cullen stretches. Two down now for nine-hole Maxwell. He pops out to shallow left right along the line. UGA leads 2-1.

South Carolina goes 1-2-3 in B5. Hancock continues to mow down USC hitters. Gamecocks trail UGA 2-1

Georgia has finally got to Wesley Sweatt -- E6 lets a runner aboard, then a single and triple scores two runs for the Bulldogs in T6. Gamecocks trail 4-1
