GAMEDAY BASEBALL THREAD: South Carolina vs Liberty game 2 **Saturday at 3 p.m.**

Four consecutive walks for Dylan Harley and another run for Liberty. 7-3

Yardcocks need to put the clamps on this inning... :animated-smileys-sport-031:

An RBI single drives in two more. Harley has imploded and Skylar Meade is heading to the mound. 7-5 Gamecocks. :baseball-catcher-smiley-emoticon:

Man LIBERTY has close the gap fast.

Shook comes in for Dylan - he started out guns blazing, but just lost his control. A lot of those walks were full counts, where he just couldn't get the final strike. Still, he showed some serious talent, and hopefully he takes some confidence from this, and comes back stronger in his next outing....

TOP 3 - Harley walks McDyre, then gets Karraker to strike out and Guy to pop out. Then, all of a sudden, it's a walk parade. Here's a breakdown of what happened.

1-2-3 for USC in B3. Gamecocks still lead Liberty, 7-5

BOTTOM 3 - Jordan Holladay up and hits a missile on the first pitch, but right at Guy in center. Neville up and takes ball one. Next two pitches are strikes, and then he goes down swinging at a breaking ball outside and in the dirt. Campbell goes down 1-2, works it to 3-2 before grounding out to second. Carolina leads 7-5.

Liberty gets a run off TJ Shook with a pair of two-out doubles in T4. Flames now only trail Carolina 7-6

Blow that lead. Need to score some runs now. :slugger-1:

TOP 4 - Shook gets eight-hole hitter Karraker on strikes, then another pop out from Guy, this one to shallow center. Leadoff hitter Embry doubles on a first pitch fastball up in the zone to the right field corner, though, to keep the inning going. Cuts Carolina's lead to one.  Shook gets the count back to 3-2 with a runner now on third. Then gets him swinging at a breaking ball to end the inning. Carolina leads 7-6

HOME RUN Jacob Olson, a two-run moonshot to left field in B4 to make it 9-6

BOTTOM 4 - Brady Allen flies out to right to begin the inning. TJ Hopkins shoots a single past the first baseman, but is thrown out at second base when the right fielder drops a pop up off Berryhill's bat. Olson up, and after just missing a home run last night, he doesn't miss one today. Launches a fastball onto the walkway in left field between the lower seats and the bleachers. He's got three extra base hits already this year. Perez goes down swinging at a big breaking ball. Carolina leads 9-6
