Carolina To Face Charleston Southern Tuesday Night at SRP Park
The Gamecocks and Bucs meet on the diamond Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
COLUMBIA, S.C. -- The University of South Carolina baseball team makes its first-ever trip to SRP Park in North Augusta, S.C., as the Gamecocks face Charleston Southern Tuesday night (April 23) at 7 p.m. in a neutral-site contest. Tuesday's game will be streamed on SEC Network +. All games will be broadcast on The Game 107.5 FM and the Gamecock Sports Network with Derek Scott and Tommy Moody on the call. Carolina won 1-of-3 games against No. 7 Texas A&M this past weekend. The Gamecocks picked up the middle game, 3-2, as Luke Berryhill's three-run home run provided the offense and TJ Shook and Brett Kerry combined for seven punchouts in the victory.

SCOUTING CHARLESTON SOUTHERN
Charleston Southern won 2-of-3 games at UNC Asheville this past weekend, taking the first two contests by scores of 3-2 and 8-2. The Buccaneers are led by Max Ryerson's .326 batting average while Ryan Stoudemire has seven doubles and nine home runs to go along with 30 RBI. On the mound, Eddie Hiott is 3-1 with a 3.13 ERA and 31 strikeouts while RJ Petit has three saves and 31 strikeouts in 22.1 innings pitched.
THE SERIES
Carolina leads the all-time series with Charleston Southern, 76-13, with Tuesday's game being the first neutral-site contest between the two teams. Last season, the Gamecocks won 2-of-3 games against the Bucs at Founders Park on Feb. 23-25, 2018. Carolina won the first two games by scores of 7-0 and 14-2. Justin Row had two hits and three RBI in the Saturday win.
LUKE LIFTS GAMECOCKS PAST AGGIES
Redshirt sophomore catcher Luke Berryhill belted a three-run home run in the first inning of Carolina's 3-2 win over Texas A&M on April 20. It was his ninth home run of the season and one of his four hits in the series. The Gamecocks made those three runs stand up in the seven-inning game behind the pitching of TJ Shook and Brett Kerry, who combined to strike out seven and allow just four hits in the game.
GAMECOCKS WIN NINTH ONE-RUN GAME
Carolina defeated Texas A&M, 3-2, on April 20 to improve to 9-2 this season in one-run games. Twelve of Carolina's 23 wins have been by either one or two runs, four of them in the walk-off variety.

Carolina travels to Columbia, Mo., for a three-game SEC series at Missouri. Game one is Friday night (April 26) at 6:30 p.m. CT and it will be streamed on SEC Network +.
