GAMEDAY THREAD VS. GEORGIA ST. Gameday information and more

I kinda wish these + networks would just have a shot of the field and stands leading into the game.

Need to change something up. All these quick edge rushers do nothing when the back runs right by them. Soft in the middle.

Big stop at the USC 8 yd line, on 4th and 1.

OK, the refs signaled that they did not get the 1st down, but GA St. is disputing the spot of the ball, and there's a review....

The review stands!! Carolina ball on their own 8-yd line.!!

Now time for Rattler and the Gamecock offense.....

Trick play from the Gamecocks at 4th and 5 - the kicker Hunter Rogers takes off to the left side and juuuuust gets the 1st down!! 1st and Goal at the 2nd yd line. Marshawn Lloyd punches it in for the first score of the game, and a Gamecock Touchdown!

The PAT snap was high and got past Mitch Jeter, so the score remains 6-0, with 13:38 to play in the 2nd Qtr.......

Gamecocks lead 12-7 into the halftime break. MVP for the game thus far is FG kicker Mitch Jeter, who has kicked two FGs of 53 and 51 yds!! Our OL has been....not so good. Our run game has not made an impact yet, and Rattler has had a couple of passes dropped by Josh Vann, who hasn't caught a pass yet in 3 targeted chances. Otherwise Rattler has had a strong first game for a half, going 15-24 (63%) for 147 yds, but 0 TDs. He's been sacked twice, while we have 0 sacks of GA St's QB who does not throw the ball much.....

Gamecocks extend their lead to 35-14 with 11:30 left in the 4th quarter, on a blocked punt by Traevon Kenion, that Ahmarean Brown picked up and ran in from the GA St. 27 yd line. It is the 2nd blocked punt run in for a touchdown by the Gamecocks tonight - the 1st was blocked by Rashad Amos, and ran in by DQ Smith. The Gamecocks' special teams are stepping up, accounting for 22 pts on 2 FGs of 50+ yds, 2 blocked punts, and 2 two-point conversions, with one failed PAT on the first TD due to a bad snap.....
