The South Carolina Gamecocks (5-3, 2-3 SEC) are back on the road this week as they travel to Nashville, Tenn. for an SEC Eastern Division battle with the Vanderbilt Commodores (3-5, 0-4 SEC). Game time from Vanderbilt Stadium (40,375) is set for 7:30 pm ET (6:30 pm local).

South Carolina vs Vanderbilt Prediction
The current betting odds have South Carolina listed as a 6.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Both of these teams are coming off losses to Missouri in their last game but Vanderbilt has had some extra time on their bye week to prepare for this game. The loss is still much fresher in the minds of South Carolina though and that loss ruined a streak of really good play they were on. They had pulled off 2 big upsets over Texas A&M and Kentucky before losing that game but they are still the better team here and will be looking to bounce back from that loss. South Carolina only has 4 games left in the season but with 2 of those games coming against ranked opponents in Tennessee and Clemson and the other being a road game against the Gators, this is their best chance to win another game before the season ends as they only need 1 win to become bowl eligible. This is their best shot to win another game and they are going to take it since Vandy is only 3-5 this season and have been one of the worst teams in the SEC all year.
