We get the bounce-back win.
34-24 Red Roosters
Spur's Addiction
After getting embarrassed at home by Mizzou, the team got an attitude adjustment and a renewed sense of urgency.
Gamecocks cruise to a 38-17 win

Both of these teams are coming off losses to Missouri in their last game but Vanderbilt has had some extra time on their bye week to prepare for this game. The loss is still much fresher in the minds of South Carolina though and that loss ruined a streak of really good play they were on. They had pulled off 2 big upsets over Texas A&M and Kentucky before losing that game but they are still the better team here and will be looking to bounce back from that loss. South Carolina only has 4 games left in the season but with 2 of those games coming against ranked opponents in Tennessee and Clemson and the other being a road game against the Gators, this is their best chance to win another game before the season ends as they only need 1 win to become bowl eligible. This is their best shot to win another game and they are going to take it since Vandy is only 3-5 this season and have been one of the worst teams in the SEC all year. The best way to place a bet here is on South Carolina to cover the spread in this game.

South Carolina (5-3, 2-3) goes on the road to Vanderbilt (3-5, 0-4) this Saturday kicking off at 7:30 pm. Vanderbilt is currently on a twenty-five (25) SEC game losing streak - they last won a game against a SEC opponent in Missouri 21-14 on October 19, 2019 in Nashville, for their only SEC win of that season. But they've always played the Gamecocks tough at home, and there should be little change in that for this Saturday's game. Vanderbilt is last in the conference in many stats: passing offense (although they are incredibly efficient here - 15 pass TDs to only 2 INTs!) and total offense, as well as scoring, total and passing defense. That last one should come in handy for the Gamecocks, as RB Marshawn Lloyd may not be available, and QB Spencer Rattler needs all the help he can get. I expect another slow and cumbersome first half offensively, but we hang on to Vandy's lack of competitiveness to pull away and become bowl eligible. It's probably our last reasonable chance for another win this regular season.
