Class of 2017 defensive end Michael Allen 6'4" 239lbs (Buford, Ga.) posted his top 8 schools on Twitter about a month ago. On Saturday, he reduced that number by two, with Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Southern Cal and Wake Forest making the latest cut.





Allen, a 3-star player who’s ranked the No. 21 defensive end in the country and the No. 37 overall prospect in the state of Georgia, eliminated Georgia Tech and NC State from consideration.

Allen, who has a reported 29 offers, was among the many recruits attending the Volunteers’ “Orange Carpet” event last month.
