Hayden to make decision in July

RB Chase Hayden of Collierville, TN visited his three favorites over the past couple of weeks and is now targeting a decision between mid and late July. Hayden visited USC, Arkansas and Missouri and liked each. He does not have a favorite as this point. Hayden will compete at The Opening starting late next week in Oregon.
“I enjoyed all of my visits and everybody is in good position right now,” Hayden said. “South Carolina visit went pretty well. I worked out at the little camp thing and I just enjoyed doing that and learning from the coaches. They’re telling me that they want me and I’m at the top of their board and that they want me to come there and at my position come in and compete early.” Hayden’s mother joined him on the visit.
Bobby Bentley is recruiting Hayden for USC and he spent a lot of time with him on the visit. He’s also keeping in regular contact and talked with him earlier this week.
Hayden also is getting a strong push from Arkansas and Missouri and both are pitching him the same thing as USC and that’s the chance for early playing time.
“(Arkansas) Coach Bielema plays two running backs but they kind of need a running back similar to my style that can can kind of do everything,” he said. “Catch, run, do a little bit of everything. They also pitched me playing a little bit on defense, too, maybe nickel package or something. And Missouri, just the ability to come in and compete for early playing time because they are lacking depth at the running back position.”
Hayden said he’s deciding between those three at this point though he did pick up an offer from Iowa State Wednesday night.
