Highly touted DE Stephon Wynn releases SEC heavy top-8, did the Gamecocks make the cut?

While the 2017 recruiting cycle is coming to an end, coaches are beginning to turn their attention the 2018 class. And five SEC schools received some very good news regarding 2018 defensive lineman Stephon Wynn.
Wynn, who is a 4-star recruit and the No. 82 overall player in the 247sports Composite rankings, released his top eight and five SEC schools made the cut along with three ACC contenders.
Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, LSU and Auburn all made the cut for South Carolina’s No. 3 player for 2018.
Wynn is listed at 6-foot-4 and weighs 260 pounds. The 2018 star hails from Anderson, S.C., which is closer to Clemson than University of South Carolina. The Tigers made the cut, along with other ACC schools Virginia Tech and North Carolina. Wynn’s father also played for Clemson.
Wynn is just one of a number of talented 2018 South carolina prospects. Xavier Thomas, a 5-star defensive, is the state’s top player for 2018 and the No. 2 overall player in the class.
