5 star DE Marquavius Lewis 6'4" 271lbs of Hutchinson JC, KS made a recent visit to Arkansas and was impressed by what he saw in Fayetteville. “They have great facilities and the coaches are cool and pretty straight forward,” he said. That’s been his only recent visit and he’s uncertain about future ones.
However, Lewis is expecting several recruiters to visit him this week as his spring practice comes to a close. He’s looking for USC, Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida and Arizona State to be in. He talked last week with Gamecock recruiter Deke Adams.
“They took a loss at defensive end on the depth chart and they are trying to get a guy who can come in and play right away,” he said. “I feel like he wants me pretty bad. They are showing great interest and they are basically telling me what I want to hear.”
Clemson also is an offer for Lewis but he said he’s not hearing from the Tigers at this point. He is hearing regularly from Auburn, Arizona State, UCLA, Tennessee, Georgia and Arkansas. Louisville is his most recent offer.
He does not have any favorites right now and is not close on a decision
