Ronnie Jamison
WR Ronnie Jamison (6-1 190) played quarterback and running back at Irmo High School before joining Highlands JC, KS last season. There, he made the move to wide receiver and caught 17 passes for over 200 yards and 2 touchdowns. He drew offers from smaller schools like Arkansas State, Georgia State, Idaho, Southern Miss, UAB, Southeast Missouri State and Coastal Carolina. But after working out for Will Muschamp Friday at USC’s camp, he landed an offer from the Gamecocks. And now he’s seriously considering committing Saturday or Sunday.
“My day went pretty well down here at USC,” Jamison said. “I ran pretty fast, jumped pretty high. Jumped a 39 (inches) in the vertical but I could’ve easily jumped higher. I feel like did well in the one-on-ones as well. Coach Muschamp just told me that I was a very explosive player. He thinks I performed really well today. He said he feels like I can come in and help the team immediately as well.”
Jamison said he wanted to talk things over with his grandmother before making a commitment, which he said could come Saturday or Sunday.
